Editorial Review:

Amazon.co.uk Review:
Don't just think of The Wedding Singer as an Adam Sandler comedy--though it most certainly is that. But also think of it as the tip of the wave of the 1980s nostalgia craze that followed on the heels of the 1970s nostalgia craze. Set in the post-disco, new wave era, the film tells the story of Robbie Hart (Sandler), the king of small-town wedding-band singers, who once dreamt of being a rock star. But his contentment with life shatters when his fiancée stands him up at the altar. After wallowing in self-pity (by musically attacking the next wedding couple he serenades) and swearing off women, he helps a new friend, Julia (Drew Barrymore), get ready for her impending nuptials--only to find himself falling in love with her. If you're a Sandler fan, you'll enjoy him as an actual adult, though a wise-cracking one. And dig all those kooky 80s reference jokes and that greatest-hits-of-early-MTV soundtrack. --Marshall Fine

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - FANTASTIC TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE !!!!
I LOVE this film so much. It is so funny. The music is great, and the memories of the 90's are hysterical. The cast is absolutely fantastic. You'll love every character. This is a film that will have you smiling from start to finish. The soundtrack is fantastic.

Adam and Drew give a great performance. I love Adam's 'Outburst' song about Linda. Love John Lovitch's version of ' Lady's Night' .....'CHAKA KHAN'...brilliant !!!

I like the fact that Adam continously puts his friends and family in his films.

The Wedding Singer and Happy Gilmore are films you could watch over and over again.

Adam is a comic genius, and loved by us all. I have forgiven him for 'Going Overboard' (I'm still confused ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - BUY IT!
This is one of my favourite films. Two of the best things about it are the clothes and the music! If not for any other reason, buy it just to hear the song adam sandler sings about his ex! (well the best song on it!)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Adam sandler not just being goofy
This is one of my favourite movies. I have yet been able to watch it without crying at the end. Yes It can be cheesy but it doesn't take itself too seriously. The cast and the soundtrack is great.
Its a movie that anyone will enjoy even my Old Man and he can be a miserable git.
"wait a minute your surname is Gulia, so when you get married Julia is gonna be Julia Gulia???"

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Wedding Singer
This was the first Adam Sandler film I ever watched, and i though it was absolutley fantastic! It takes the mik out of the 80's cheezy songs and outfits and crazy hair, but the story is great too. Great easy film to watch on a Sunday night! Fab!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Mediocre romantic comedy, Great soundtrack
I like this film, and I would recommend it to most people, but there are other better films I would recommend first.

The humour see-saws from very funny to very cheesy, and it sometimes seems a bit formulaic. Nevertheless if you like the best eighties music and can stand a bit of cheesiness it is well worth seeing.
