 Rating:  - Nice pictures but the words turned me offI bought this book having read the other positive reviews. I was very disappointed. There are ideas in this book that I didn't find very spiritual or loving at all. For example, quotes from the book: "The following women are not to be enjoyed at all....women who are too pale and white...women who are too dark and black" "Easy Women...a woman who has no one to look after her and keep her in check...A woman whose child has died...Poor women...A woman who is proud of her achievements...Older women" I was amazed and saddenned that these ideas were present in this book. I hope that more people will write books on this subject because we need more 'How To' books on how to turn lust into love, in my humble opinion that's how I beleive we will evolve. This book is at least a start in that direction, sex is such a difficult subject for people to read or talk about and the only way to reach that goal of pure love IS to talk about it. I hope EVERYBODY reads it, even you. Rating: - "Kama Sutra and the Seven Spiritual Laws of Love"On 5/13/06 i attended a "seminar" which included a presentation by Deepak Chopra during which he spoke of 'The Kama Sutra' and its 'timelessness in its depth". later in the day, the very first day of its release in the USA, he signed copies of the book. i purchased a copy of his book, with the expectation that Chopra's "Kama Sutra" would not be "a manual for lovemaking" as was the original and i was right ... he focused on the "essence" of the original which can now, for me, also be accepted as "an inspiring spiritual text". |
