 Rating: - An authentic tibetan sound, but not for everyone's earsThis C.D produces amazing sounds from authentic tibetan monk ceremonies. The depth of the human voice here is quite startling. However if, like me, your experinece of Tibetan sounds is more westernised (for example "Buddhist Chants and Peace Music") this C.D. does not make for easy or relaxing listening. The third track 'No. 2 For Gaia' performed by western musicians in response to and in keeping with the tibetan rituals is easier on the western ear. Would appeal more to practising Buddhists or those looking for accompanying 'ritual' music. Perhaps an acquired taste, but regretfully, not mine. |
