It will grow on you, and like me it will become one of your desert island discs.. great music, great poetry etc... Must surely rank as one of the best albums ever. Rating: - Buy this album!!!!!!I am not going to give a list of reasons why to buy this album, other than just to say I have over 1000 albums in my collection and this is the one that means the most to me. It is lyrical, beautifully performed, affecting, spiritual, thought-provoking and a plaintive cry towards the excesses and disturbances of the world as we know it today. He emotively talk-sings his way through and the musical accompaniment is first-rate and highly evocative. This is an album that will awaken your senses and bring you back to your emotional centre. I love it and if you let it in to work its magic, I believe you will too. Wonderful! Rating: - Circle The WagonsThe first of Native American Trudell's albums I bought. By turns angry, reflective & loving, Trudell is not at peace with the world. Not surprising in view of his personal history. His lyrics range from the cynical "Bombs Over Baghdad" to the haunted "Tina Smiled" in memory of his late wife. Trudell does not sing as such, the lyrics are spoken, but leavened by Mark Shark & Quiltman's excellent harmonies and some superb guitar playing by Jesse Ed Davis & Shark. An easy album to enjoy based on the great music, but the words are what hit you. Brilliant |
