This is a great album showing Bill at his funniest and probably one of the best places to start, along with Relentless. It's not as caustic as Rant in E-Minor and was recorded early in his career, but is a great album regardless. I love it that he can make you laugh and open your eyes wide to the irony in life at the same time. His political jokes are sharp and witty and his life observations are not only true, but hilarious. The drugs jokes are hilarious, especially when he mentions being so wasted he dances to the police car lights!!! Not necessarily one to share with your mum, but one to share with all your friends, family and colleagues and as many people as possible!!! Simply brilliant.

i never tire of dangerous, its a great collection of hick's work, a funny funny man with the ability to make you laugh until you cry as well as make you think without knowing it about the subjects he touches upon.
an essential purchase

If you like your comedy in the gentle or nudge nudge format this is not for you - but if you like it in your face and forcing you to reconsider some of the things we take for granted , smokimg drinking drugs, music then buy this, get a beer , sit back and just listen to one of the best comedians there has been - sadly Bill Hicks died 10 years ago but he just as relevant today - a great loss. His humour is savage but so well observed.

I never got to see Bill Hicks live. Saw him on tv back in 1991, he blew the screen away and I was hooked. I've recently bought "Dangerous" again as I wore the old cassette out-yep, it's that good. This performance has bits of everything-social observation, political rants, sexual angst, family feuds and just darn funny stuff. Mark Thomas and Robert Newman are the comedians who are keeping Bill's spirit alive now-listen to the man himself, wonder why you never got to see him either and weep.

Bill Hicks was and still is the greatest stand-up comedian that ever lived BAR NONE! He was lewd, pornographic and totally honest with his comedy and he didn't care who he upset because he knew what he was saying was the truth. Hicks was a paradox in that much of his humour was aimed at the country he both loved and hated and the huge contradictions found in the USA. No one was safe from his sharp observations and his intense wit. War, drugs, sex NOTHING escaped his critical eye and like any brilliant comedian he could make you laugh and think simultaneously. This and 'Relentless' are the 2 best Hicks recordings I have found. The others are so so for Hicks but saying that they are still brilliant. Here he is on top of his game, not letting ... Read More:
