 Rating: - Lonnie Mack Strikes the Blues...This CD is the best album Lonnie ever made in my opinion. He gets a hand from the (late) master SRV who gives the album it's accent that reaches the album over others. The Oreo cookie blues is a fine example that Lonnie made this record with a good sense of humor. (I keep them in the glovecomparment of my car). Just listen to this record and have a nice time with Lonnies nice V and his voice. The intire album is worth listening, although the sound quality isn't perfect. Rating: - Superb technical playingAny album featuring Lonnie Mack and Stevie Ray Vaughan together is bound to be a classic, and this one surely is. The insistent rhythm in the upbeat tracks ("Satisfy Susie" is without compare) is perfectly balanced by Lonnie's incredible voice control on the slower numbers. Pride of place in my collection. |
