The sound on this live recording is superbly crisp and clear, and the Allman Brothers Band play excellent renditions of old and new material, including the funky blues-rock stomper "Sailin' 'Cross The Devil's Sea", the soulful R&B-grind of "Soulshine", and the pure blues of "You Don't Love Me" and Willie Dixon's "The Same Thing".

Since Warren Haynes joined the band, the Allmans have got better and better. On this the second part of a two c.d set they really are absolutely stunning and firing on all cylinders. It's the guitar duels between Haynes and Dickie Betts that standout. The long version of 'Jessica' and 'back where it all begins' are proof of this. No one can improvise quite like the Allmans and with this there is none of the indulgences of 'the fillmore'album. They just don't let up. Standout is the acoustic version of 'elizabeth reed' and greggs great vocal on 'sailin' cross the ocean' the percussion section swings like mad and i can't praise this album highly enough. Oh and look out for the revival of 'mountain jam' at the end.
