I am a huge fan of Faith No More, but the quality of the vocals on this album prove that either they were taking the mick out of the (apparently) quiet crowd, or that they are just absoultely rubbish live.

If you ever got the chance to see faith no more live then you'll love this album as it puts you right back at Brixton academy. If you just like FNM then you will like this as it showcases some of their best tracks and it shows a slightly different side to FNM that you don't get on the studio albums. More of the band's (especially Mike Patton's) personality comes through with quirky little samples nicked from obscure sources (pump up the jam, new kids on the block etc...). If you just like good music then you will like this because it showcases one of the best bands ever to walk the planet engaged in a great gig.

Live albums have always had a bad press, and from the production of this album, it's easy to see why. This is however the only let down of Faith No More's first and only live recording. Recorded on 'The Real Thing' tour, we get classics such as 'Epic', 'Zombie Eaters' and even a very sharp and precise cover of Black Sabbath's 'War Pigs'. We can hear immaculate performances by every member of the band, Roddy Bottom on keyboards deserving most praise. The only criticism, despite the production, that can be made about this album is that it came out too early - had they played 'Midlife Crisis', 'Malpractice' and even 'Stripsearch', then we would have seen Faith No More at their sickest and most epic.
