Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - By Manilow's standards, this is not a great compilation
Although this album has a number of great tracks on it (Mandy, Tryin' to get the Feeling Again, I made It Through the Rain), there are some odd choices as well (I'm Your Man - Remix). Could It Be Magic is a remix and although inpressive, it doesn't have the staying power of the original. Even the great Copacabana is the 1993 remix and not the superior original.
If you are looking for the definitive Manilow collection, I would recomend getting The Songs 1975-1990, which is just stunning.

If you're new to Barry or want ataste of his magic, steer clear of the Greatest Hits, contrary to itsname its not the best place to go. Its missing some of his best - All the time, Even Now, Looks like we made it. It goes without saying a couple of his greats are on here but a lot of his mistakes as well. You need a few listens to appreciate any song, but the majority of the first ten tracks do not hit the spot...... I advise you splash out for a bigger and better collection there may be just another undiscovered gem out there, but unfortunately I don't think you'll find it on his Greatest hits. P.S. Look like we made it - is not on the greatest hits!
