 Rating: - john gBouncy, trippy and utterly mesmerising, I can't tire of hearing this album. This is the best piece of music I've ever heard. And I love music, all music. The percussion is unbelievable. Black Vest and Dread Lion are high points but the whole album rolls along effortlessly and is perfectly paced. I'm not a musician and find it hard to imagine how anyone could produce something this good. I've seen one or two so-called lists of greatest reggae albums which don't even include this! Ridiculous. Rating: - one of the very best dub albums of all timein my view, this is one of the very best dub albums of all time... dark & psychedelic. probably lee perry's best. Rating: - A Different DubThis is a superb album. Usually dub albums strip down the sound and instrumentation, but this one seems to add layers of sound to create a dense jungle effect. Buy it and especially marvel at the uncredited Prince Jazzbo toast on Croaking Lizard. Deejay music at its best. Rating: - one of lee perry's bestlegendary jamaican producer lee "scratch" perry remixes some of his best rhythms (including max romeo's "war inna babylon") and sticks on new vocals and some wizzy effects. a very mellow experience and an essential purchase for scratch fans! i'd rate this as perry's second best album as a producer, after the congos' "heart of the congos" |
