 Rating:  - heavy,shattering,violent stuffskinlab were a band that slipped by the metal radar for many years and quite possibly as a result they are no more and thats a shame,i cant say why they went years without recognition,but thats the way it goes,hailing from the bay area which spawned machine head,many compared skinlab to machine head and as much as that is true it could be said that skinlab had more of a groove to their metal sound. Skinlab were a band with a sound that said that they meant business,steevs vocals were pretty unique and helped bring great melody to the bands fury,this is a heavier album than revolting room but still as infectious,the band may be gone but the cd aint so pick this puppy up. Rating:  - Do you like Machine Head?If you answered yes to the above question, then you will almost definitely like Skinlab. The two bands are very similar, although Skinlab are by no means Machine Head clones. While Machine Head are thrash metal titans, however, Skinlab are almost unheard of. As Slipknot's Corey Taylor put it "[Skinlab] are a very talented band that have been sadly overlooked by the metal community." "Disembody: The New Flesh" is Skinlab's best album to date. While the previous two albums suffered from poor production jobs and their newest album, "reVolting Room", has been released to a mixed response from fans, "Disembody..." has both the production job and the quality of songs to compete with almost anything Machine Head have done.
