 Rating:  - Different and greatI felt I have to write a review myself after having read many of the reviews here. I'll say straightaway that I absolutely love this album. Yeah sure, it's different from Dead Ringer and Bat Out Of Hell but I have great memories in connection with this album. I don't think that anyone who really likes Meat Loaf would be disappointed by Midnight At The Lost And Found. This album is way too underrated. Come on, go for it - especially for this price! Rating:  - This is the only Meat Loaf album which doesn't do it for me.It's totally different. Nothing from Mr. Steinman (I believe they were not getting on too well) and Meat co-wrote a lot of this album. The songs are short (the album is, too) and all the bombastic theatrics of the operatic rock which set us on fire during his first two albums are no longer there. A shame. Rating: - FantasticI am a big Meat Loaf fAn so some might say i'm biased, but this album is fantastic and massively underrated. THis was one of the first albums Meat released without steinman songs as a feature, and i think it rocks! Buy it! A must for every Meat Fan!!!! Rating:  - Classic, if slightly different, LoafFinally got this CD after losing my cassette tape over seven years ago. Very different from Bat, Dead Ringer etc., and much less 'epic' in stature, but still a good album. Highlights include 'Promised Land' and the title track. Not one of his most memorable albums, but something a bit out of the ordinary and of interest to die-hard Loafers. Rating:  - Is This Meat Loaf?Midnight At The Lost And Found, Meat's 3rd album and without Jim Steinman writing the songs. The rock opera sound and heavy guitars from Bat Out Of Hell and Dead Ringer are gone and enter all the 80's keyboards and country guitars and a little distortion. The album will go down in my history as Meat's worst effort, it's not bad but it's not meat loaf. Highlights are Razor's Edge, Midnight At The Lost and Found (the only song he sings live of this album in the last 20 years)and If Your Really Want To, which were all singles of this album. If you ever get your hands on Hits Out Of Hell DVD or video the videos to the above tracks are quite funny cause they are very tacky. Only other highlight is the promised land, ... Read More: |
