 Rating: - This was the first L.P. that I can remember sticking my hand in my pocket for.Fun all the way at full speed.Having got this on L.P. all that time ago,iv got into load's of band's,from soul,ska,rock,you name it & I will have a go."Incredible Shrinking Dickies" is one of the best c.d.s I have ever got my hand,s on.Come to think of it the "Dickies" are the dog ****.Hope they rip some more number's for us all,& soon. Rating: - As good as the Ramones!While the bruvvers Ramone were undoubtedly the first off the blocks with their seminal bubblegum pop meets gritty snotty punk it's a shame the Dickies aren't accorded the same accolades because frankly there's little to choose between them in the speed punk gonzo stakes. I'd even go so far as to say Stan Lee is every bit a riff monster as Johnny Ramone and one listen to this wonderful album will I'm sure convince you of that. Simply put the Dickies deliver speedy, witty, daft, gonzo, crazy punk rock with a leering gurn all over their faces and they are without question THE greatest covers band in history by virtue of the simple fact they play 'em faster than anyone else. Relentlessly and remorselessly they mangle great classics to deliver the ... Rating: - dickie-mania !!!most definately the best re-issue in the past decade.i have searched many countries for "incredible shrinking dickies"on cd only to be disappointed every time,until now thanks to amazon.fave tracks are "eve of destruction & banana splits" both sound mindblowing from the killer klowns of punk. Rating: - Hooray!I've been waiting for this to be released on CD, for years (since somebody nicked my LP) This is one of my all-time favourites, noisy fun all the way. Mental Ward is worth the price on it own. |
