 Rating: - The pleasures of CreamIm a great believer in dance complilation albums, although i usually end up buying albums that only have one song on that i love. When i first picked up this album, a song jumped out at me. Sueno Latino! I was sold already, when i gazed over the songs on the album i couldn't believe it, it has an amazing mixture of songs that you wouldn't have put on an album with dance tunes. Lullaby (The Cure) and Forbidden Colours (David Sylvian) are fantastic and put amongst some ibiza classics, this album should be in every CD rack in every home. You only have to read the track list, and there is at least one song that everyone will remember and love. Buy it! Rating:  - A nice blend of old, present and future tunesThis cd isn't really banging tunes, but then again that's what the balearic sound is all about. It's quite chilled and great to relax to. The welcomed note is that it is unmixed. This is a great change from the usual, 'let's listen to the tracks badly mixed in the same order'. There are the occasional bad song in there, but with 3 cds there it is something for most ibiza bound clubbers. Rating: - TREBLE CREAM FOR AN ENGLISH COUNTRY GARDENCREAM = quality at any time. This compilation though is ALMOST exhaustive of the "genre" its boxed-up. 3 CDs here of Balearic Classics from present day - best mix of LAZY I've heard - to yesteryear - stunning mix of Only Love Can Break Your Heart, esoteria courtesy of WHY by Carly Simon and It's Immaterial's DRIVING AWAY FROM HOME, genre standards - Sueno Latino, Barefoot In The Head...OK, so we are all familiar with these tunes, we can all hum them and 90% of them would show up on any of our own Balearic compilations but give or take the odd omission - Once In A Lifetime, Loving Arms...this is as definitive as you could hope for to put all those other cheesy chill-out deals in the shade this summer Rating: - This thing reads like the history of chillouta truly balearic feel to every song on this amazing compillation. Some real classics included - simply red, lamb to name a few. highly recomended |
