 Rating:  - Strong 2nd single"My Plague" is the 2nd single off Slipknot's no.1 album "Iowa" and its fantastic! Brutal guitar work, skilled drumming and this song also demonstrates the versatile voice of Corey Taylor! Yes, we all know he can scream and he does it very well but he can also sing melodically as well, as has been demonstrated in this song's chorous. Also included on this single is "Heretic Anthem" and "(sic)" live as well as the "My Plague" video. All in all, a quality track from a band who know what they're doing. Rating:  - my plague- the new abuse mix.this is the follow-up release from slipknot's third album entitled 'IOWA' this is a follow on from the single 'left behind' which originally was called 'lust disease'. this single is a re-vampt version of the original that is featured on 'IOWA' i think the video that goes with the single is very good, but i feel it is a shame that they cut over a minute off the original. the new vesion has less offensive language in it, this may be to increase it's popularity. i hope this single will do well. but i feel the original is far superior to this release....slipknot rule. |
