Editorial Review:
Amazon.co.uk Review: For a man who gets his biggest kicks surfing the waves and strumming his guitar on a lonely beach in native Hawaii, singer-songwriter Jack Johnson has carved out quite a remarkable career on the mainland. His 2003 album, On and On, went platinum on the back of hit single "The Horizon Has Been Defeated." The follow-up, meanwhile, seems destined to shine even brighter. The drifting chords and soft voice are still in place, only now Johnson's instinct for melody has sharpened alongside his ability to self-edit. These small concessions make third album, In Between Dreams, his most conspicuous, particularly on tracks like the three-minute relationship drama, "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing," and "Breakdown," a song he originally recorded for Handsome Boy Modeling School's White People album remade here to reveal its full stripped-down loveliness. Imagine all the coconuts it will buy. --Aidin Vaziri
Album Description: In Between Dreams is a wandering, sun-soaked album of laidback grooves and hooks and the 3rd release from the summer's hero, Jack Johnson. In Between Dreams includes the single "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing".
Description: This is the third album from former pro-surfer Jack Johnsonand sees him joined once again by Beastie Boys producer Mario Caldato Jr. Sticking to the acoustic mix of blues, rock, and hip hop that's graced his previous work, 'In Between Days' sees Johnson once again being likened to Ben Harper, G. Love & The Special Sauce, and Dave Matthews.

Surfer dude, movie maker, singer and songwriter, Jack Johnson's third album reflects his laid back attitude, and you can almost hear the waves, seagulls and clink of the ice cubes in the background. His name may sound ordinary, but his music is certainly uncommon.
Strumming along on his acoustic guitar, he blends melodically with drummer Adam Topol and bassist Mario Podlewski. This is an album to kick off your summer vacation.
So throw back to "Banana Pancakes",and the rest of the relaxing bluesy/folksy tracks, and just enjoy this album.

I first heard Jack when I was in Australia, he is huge over there and wasn't heard of in the UK at the time. At first I found his music hard to appreciate but once you've lived the laid back lifestyle that is Australia, Jack will become part of your every day life whether you like it or not.
Every song on this album means something to me and brings back so many happy memories that it is now my favourite album of all time. Jack Johnson is simply amazing and if you close your eyes he can take you to a far away beach, the sun, the sea, the sand and the surf. It's what his music is all about.

This album is pure genius!
While tailing off towards the end, the first half has some of my favourite songs of all time, including the singles Better Together and Sitting, Waiting, Wishing.
I have friends of all different musical tastes from classics to scary Emo stuff, but they all love it!
Look out for Banana Pancakes as the best songe ever, can make andyone chillax!

Like most albums not all songs are worth a mention.
I particularly enjoy listening to better together,
breakdown, and his other song upside down which
is not on this album. His songs are amazingly
crafted pieces of work and he sings them with
utter brilliance.
