Featuring all of BB King's most famous and catchy songs, this large 21-song collection is ordered chronologically, making it interesting to hear his stlye develop and voice mature, with the music spanning a fifty year period.
The focus of this compilation seems to be on his singing and the songs themselves, with little attention to his guitar playing. I would therefore suggest to hardcore Blues fans to give this one a miss.
But for those who are not familiar with BB's music and are looking for a good introduction, this CD is certainly an excellent choice. The CD-case also contains a small illustrated booklet about BB King's career which was a nice addition.

Finally - a really good single-disc compilation which doesn't exclude King's earliest (and best) material.
Much better than "Greatest Hits" and more affordable than various multi-disc compilations, "The Ultimate Collection" is the place to start for newcomers and curious listeners who want to know what Riley "B.B." King is all about.
"Three O'Clock Blues", "You Upset Me Baby", "Sweet Little Angel"...this is not everything you could ever want from B.B. KIng, but it is a very fine place to start.
