Editorial Review:

Amazon.co.uk Review:
The debut album from The Subways proves that for a man approaching his seventies, Glastonbury’s Michael Eavis has excellent taste. Eavis plucked The Subways’ demo from a pile of demos and pushed this young trio – frontman Billy Lunn, his girlfriend, bassist Mary-Charlotte Cooper, and his brother, drummer Josh Morgan – onto the Other Stage at Glasto 2004.

A long, hot summer on, Young For Eternity fulfils all their early potential: "I Want To Hear What You Have Got To Say" and "Oh Yeah" barrel along with the raw, adrenalised energy of Nirvana or The White Stripes - full-bodied, powerful anthems that lose none of their live passion in the studio setting. Lunn’s oft-stated admiration for Oasis surfaces on "Mary", a sort of amped-up "She’s Electric" that’s actually, rather sweetly, a love song from singer to bassist. Ms Cooper, too, however, has a pretty great voice: more grit-edged rock bitch than cooing indie-waif, it invests the likes of "Oh Yeah" and "City Pavement" with a smouldering – nay, flat-out roaring – chemistry that’s all the more engaging because it’s actually 100% genuine. --Louis Pattison

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Must Have
I went to see them live in Falmouth, Cornwall before hearing them before hand, after watching the Mind-Blowing set I ordered the CD straight away and I can't wait for their second album. Personally They are so much better live and I think they should bring out a live DVD as they already have a live CD.

A must have for anyone who's into a plate of indie/alternative with a slice on rock on the side.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not what i expected at all....
I bought this album after seeing the bands name and thought it would be a musical tribute to the excellent fast food chain. With tracks like "oh yeah" which seemed like they'd remind me of when i was asked if i wanted extra bacon. I was sadly dissapointed, but their are some good tracks on it though.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Simply genius?
This album really does shine through with Enthusiasm and Energy that you just never see with Albums these days. Not only is their album probably one of the best debuts of recent years but they are also one of the best live bands around by a long a shot.

My Favourite album since 'Is This It?'

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!
This album is not sophisticated. It is not clever. It is not a biting social comment. But I tell you what. IT ROCKS.

This is a great throwback album to a time when rock was, well, fun. The songs are simply written, no complicated guitar lines or expressive use of synth. But bloody hell are they awesome. The sheer energy of this band shines through, with huge riffs (in an indie kinda way) and shout along chorus. Almost every song (even the few acoustic numbers) are full of energy and emotion. The last song i heard that was so shout along was Song 2 by Blur. If your fed up with bands who play three notes at a time, and drawls a load of bollocks pretending its ironic ("Oh, so its SUPPOSED to sound like gibberish")then buy this album ... Read More:

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Ah, man...
I bought this album in a frenzy, and a little piece of me died inside. It's samey, whiney, try-hardy and a load of other ey's. Don't get it.
