This is the sort of thing you would buy a best friend to lift them when times are hard.

Mcalmont is one of Britain’s greatest musical treasures and this album shows clearly that he can take standards previously owned by the likes of Sinatra and Ella and make them his own. If you are looking for warm and lush arrangements and a voice that can only be compared to Marvin Gaye then your quest can end right here.

Mcalmont wraps his golden tones around some of the finest songs ever written, and the combination is both magical and irresistable. From the opening seconds, you just know you are in for a rare treat...the brush of a cymbal, the gentle thrum of the bass, the warm keyboards, and then....that voice! Like getting a hug from an angel...
If you know your musical heritage and you are aware of Mcalmonts unique vocal stylings, you will have a pretty fair idea of how this album is going to sound. But nothing can prepare you for the sheer beauty of this collection...sensual, honest, better than bliss.
