I am gutted cos I have lost one of the CDs in this amazing double album. Even with one CD is is TOPS. My favorites are Lemar singing the Darkness Track, and James Blunt singing Lemar..... as I said Pure Gold!

This album has many different artists, playing many different genres with a lot of crossover with the covers. I have found that people who like this album will not like all of it. But do not let this put you off. I like 28 out of the 40 songs and for the price it is definately worth it. If your tastes in music are very mainstream(pop, hip hop RnB, songs that do very well in singles charts) you will like most of this album. Only a few of the songs like maybe Queen of the stone ages may not suit your tastes. If your music is more away from the mainstream in the way of foo fighters, green day, blink 182 and coldplay(songs that do well in the album charts but not so well in the singles charts), you will also like most of this album, particularly ... This album is sheer listening pleasure from beginning to end and it makes me proud of the institution that is Radio One! There are some brilliant covers, the most outstanding being Embrace's version of 'How Come' which has been transformed into the most beautiful, heart-rending song and you realise just how good D12's lyrics are. There are also some funny covers, we really like the Artic Monkeys cover of Love Machine. It's all brilliant, and put together so very well. Great value for money too. You won't regret buying it.

Review of Album- Radio 1's live lounge
This album is one of the best mixers I have ever listened to. The songs are well know and slightly dated but this does not detract from the album at all, because the songs aren't all sung by their original artists (cover versions) the album has an edge which I adore.
The acoustic is amazing because all the songs were recorded in a small studio so some of them are narrowed down to small bands and usually one singer. Each new artist has added their own individuality to the song so each interpretation is very different. The album covers all aspects of music and is great for everyone. Some songs will have your head banging and others are relaxing and slow.

There is a word which describes this CD and really does it justice: Outstanding. This CD has been compiled with a handful of tracks that you may have heard while listening to the Radio 1 live lounge sessions. Some of which are covers (for example The Arctic Monkeys cover of Love Machine - originally by Girld Aloud) and others are just live versions of original songs (i.e Golden Touch by razorlight).
If you buy this CD you certainly won't regret your decision. I have had this CD now for about 3 months and must have found myself listening to it at least once every other day, it really is that good. But the fact that there is a 50 cent song on the album is quite a let down - it just doesn't seem to fit in with the other songs, most ... Read More:
