 Rating: - The sun is definetly shining inI am going to be the first here, and I hate this as I can't do this album or Mr. Doughty, as a whole justice in a lil review like this and this review stand for all of his work, not just this album, but I picked Golden Delicious as it's probably the most accessible of his releases, but is as consistent as all his back catalogue and holds his trademark sound. Mike Doughty is an amazing artist, that never fails to make the darkest of days shine for me. I know this is a rather biased review, but we of the U.K. do not know of him enough and I feel we should. I have been a fan of his music from back in the days when he fronted Soul Coughing, an eclectic, eccentric jazz trip-hop ensemble. Mike's solo work is as eccentric as ever. To me and ... Read More: |
