From 1969 to 1986 era, thisalbum is packed with quality songs from the velvet voicedlady. Collaborating with the best in the r&b world, Quincy jones,narada walden, jimmy jam/terry lewis, james ingram, this album oozesclass, but dont take my word for it!! see yourself why Patti has beenaround for 30 years in a world of one hit wonders, and pop idols that last6 months Rating: - PRECIOUS PATTI AUSTIN RECORDINGSAt long last, we have a very best of Patti Austin album which concentrates on her career from 1968 to 1988. It kicks off with a superb track called 'the family tree', which is fantastic soul (northern soul) at it's best, and fun lyrics too. this track is from her time with the united artists label. The next tracks are from her tenure at cti, and includes two great tracks called 'say you love me' and 'we're in love', before moving on to Patti's time with qwest, which saw her achieving commercial success and high chart places. Some of her collaborative work with Quincy Jones is also included, the fantastic 'razzamatazz' is a fine example of 80's soul power pop.
