When you come across Emilie Autumn fans, you may well find that many are divided. Many love THIS Emilie, the Emilie that they call the "Enchant Era" whilst others enjoy the "Victorindustrual" era. Bear in mind though, that there are not many people that enjoy the latter era and dislike 'Enchant'; it's a completely different type of music, but Emilie back then was still unique and this album provides us with music which is radically different to what she does now, but it's also different compared to anything other artist due to the albums eclectic material.
This album is not pigeonholed for an audience; when the album opens up with 'Prologue: Across The Sky' you will believe that you have stumbled into a fairy wonderland which sounds ... Read More:

I first became interested in Emilie during her 'Opheliac' phase, and was finding it extremely difficult to get hold of this particular CD. Thankfully when it was re-released I was able to buy it at the merchandise stall of a concert. And it's well worth a listen.
While most of the songs are dreamy, with Celtic and classical undertones, there are a few oddities - for example How Strange, the rhythm of which reminded me somewhat of R&B-type music.
Some of the tracks, for example Rapunzel and Juliet, have faster, slightly more industrial beats. Preludes to the direction of the following album Opheliac? Perhaps.
Anyway, if you're an EA fan, this album is a complete must-have - it's very different to her current sound, but equally brilliant. ... Read More:
