 Rating:  - Great re-issueWhat a fantastic reissue from Raven. Two somewhat underrated albums on 1 CD and Gene Clark's sublime 'Here Tonight' thrown in for good measure. An absolute must for fans of classic 1970's West Coast country rock. Whilst 'The Flying Burrito Bros' was recorded after Gram Parsons left for a solo career, the wonderfully versatile but low profile Chris Hillman took over leadership duties and contributed some great songs and sweet vocals. Rick Roberts came in on guitar/vocals and on this set contributed his signature 'Colorado' - a lovely rural song with multilayered harmonies that fits this new FBB incarnation like a glove. At times more polished, at others more rock than the brilliant 'Gilded Palace of Sin' or the erratic follow up ... They have also added two bonus tracks. Can't wait to get hold of this album! Rating: - Is this what I think it is? First off, this is NOT a review of the CD, but a query from someone who has both of these albums on vinyl, and desperately wants them on CD. "Last Of..." (the Roberts/Hillman lineup's great live swansong) was issued on CD by a Japanese company some years ago, and currently changes hands for large sums. The self-titled third album is similarly unavailable in its own right on CD, although all the tracks crop up on one of the pricier complilations, requiring you to buy "Gilded Place" and "Burrito Deluxe" AGAIN. If this CD really IS a "twofer" of these recordings, it's a find indeed. But I am wary - Amazon shows no track listings.
