 Rating:  - Sam SparrowI bought this album because I loved 'Black and Gold'. However, I was very disappointed. That track and the first one on the album are the only ones worth listening to. Sam Sparrow whitters on and on throughout the rest of the album and it is real rubbish. Don't waste your money. Sorry Sam, but you have to do better than this. Rating:  - Love it!Since I got this album it is all I have been listening to. I love it so much I am worried I will overplay it, so I make sure I only listen to it a couple of times a day, but every time - its a treat. Can't wait to see what will be his next project. Rating: - Foot tapping electro funkI've just listened to this album for the first time and it's fantastic. It's a mixture of electro funk/soul/pop and I'm loving it. Black and Gold is a great song, but there are better ones. Give it a go, you'll love it. Rating:  - Recycle it! I loved Black & Gold when i heard it and truly hearlded Sam Sparro as an exciting new talent. However, this album is a true mess. Naming songs, Recycle It for example, preaching about the world in others and singing exactly like Prince on a few more tracks begs the question, who is this guy and what is he trying to say? This isn't an accomplished album, it's all over the shop. Something tells me this was rush released to cash in on the single's success. I'm sure that Sam Sparro will be an interesting artist given time. For now, what he has delivered is nothing more than an embarrassment complete with teenage diary lyrics and save the world agenda. Something that i'm sure he will cringe at in years to come. Rating: - Straight to the Point.....This album will have your toes tapping from the first track. Great album, catchy songs and a fantastic base-line. One of those rare albums you can listen to from start to finish without skipping tracks. |
