As a die-hard completest saddo, I was naturally attracted to this, and bought it.

Setting aside for a moment the legality of the release ("What exactly do you mean, Peter?") all I can say, really, is: why has it taken so long to release this? I feel certain that, had it been released in the early to mid 1980s, shortly after Ian Curtis's death, it would have sold by the bucketload to the thousands of grieving JD fans who were then paying through the nose for whatever memorabilia - of however poor quality - just to experience another few seconds of that all-too-fleeting JD sound, including and awful lot of very shoddy bootlegs of live sets and radio sessions, several of which have since been cleaned up and officially released.

Who in there right mind is going to buy this? martin hannett will be turning in his grave,i am a die hard Joy Division fan and have been since i was a youngster but i wouldnt buy this pants.

Avoid this like the plague, it is in no way a genuine artefact. It is simply some recently processed (by Ozit/Interstate, and not by the very dead Martin Hannett) Joy Division original tracks that have been speeded up and a metronome added over the top (badly at that), and a load of tape noise/doodles that have absolutely nothing to connect them to Joy Division or the tracks contained within this release. Interstate are now well known for peddling illegal material, this is merely the latest offering. There is nothing here for the casual fan, nothing here for the hardcore, nothing here of any interest. Do not waste your money.

The company who released this are the lowest of the low. They are conning fans and the band alike.

This is not only scraping the barrel but scraping the ground below the bottom of the barrel..in short it sounds like Kraftwerk dropping there equipment down a lift shaft piece by piece..avoid at all costs.
