 Rating: - Go On SonI read some of the reviews on here before I bought this dvd, I have to say I read the bad reviews more but I still got it as i do enjoy Sean Lock. I put it in so to speak with mixed ambitions, It started off a bit weak in my opinion but it picked up and there was some real good stuff going on. For some reason I found myself having a problem with the crowd who didnt seem to enjoy it as much as they do in other dvds annnd the stage background annoyed me but that has nothing to do with the quality of the dvd so dont pay much attention to that! The dvd has the live at the apollo that Sean Lock did which was good to watch, very funny. I also popped on the other thing on the dvd extras which had its moments! ... This was the first DVD release I'd seen from him and it didn't disappoint. His ascerbic, sarcastic wit makes him one of the funniest comedians of our time. He takes the mick out of people but he doesn't push it too far. I think part of his appeal is not only the tone of voice he uses but his facial expressions; he has the overall performance down pat and it makes for pure comedy gold. I also love his comedic rants, such as the roll-up cigarettes scenario which leads onto the McDonalds one. I also enjoyed this more, having been one of the "Wembley Response Squad" myself and knowing the guy he's on about. I won't spoil ... Read More: Rating: - Sean Lock LiveExcellent. I saw Sean In Sheffield and thought he was great. So, V glad this DVD of the show is out. He doe's make me laugh... Be warned though this show is not QI (or "Q-one" as my wife called it!) I've long been a fan of Seans and he just keeps on getting better and better buy this now then treat yourself to series 1 & 2 of 15 Storeys High and see how sitcoms should be made. Rating: - FantasticI live in Australia and someone sent me Sean's DVD. Brilliant. Watched it 3 times already and laughed more each time. Real out-there comedy. The World needs more of that. |
