 Rating: - Beat Meets R&BThe title Breaking Point - 20 hard edged Beat Diamonds, to me conjured up an album with more R&B tinged Beat than the Mersey beat sounds you get on some comps of this ilk, and having other releases from Psychic Circle in my collection I was hoping I wouldnt be Disspoainted. The CD opens with a very tasty version of Stepping Stone by the Liverpool Five, Fuzz guitar and more Freakbeat than Beat, so far so good! The following tracks then start going more to the nicer end of Beat music, Shorty & Them,James Tamlin,etc. There are more R&B tinged tracks and soul Jazz tracks than jingly Jangly Beat music.
