 Rating:  - Atmospheric and moody. Perfect.This album is perhaps one of the all time greats of this goth genre. I find that few bands can master female vocals over heavy guitar riffs but this band manage it effortlessly. Morgans hauntingly velvet vocals create the perfect contrast to the music itself, but don't let her soft voice put you off as when the song calls for it she has a power and depth to make any other singer envy her! For existing fans of this style, this is one of the best albums you'll hear. For those of you that appreciate the likes of Evanessence and want to explore the style more then let this be the next album you buy! Rating:  - hmmmmmOk, this album is jsut damned wierd. It combines atmospherics with some nice melodic rocky breaks. Morgan's accent is very strange and if you read the lyrics along with it......actually, dont....coz you wont be able to take it seriously as she cant pronounce the english very well. Otherwise, they are REALLY innovative and there's a good mix of tunes on here. If you like Nightwish, After Forever, Paradise Lost, Lacuna Coil or other gothic / dark rock or anything sweden related....you should buy it. There are a couple of atmospheric tracks on here that go down very nicely when ur in a melancholy mood. Give it a go, it does grow on you. |
