 Rating: - A welcome addition to the sceneJeana Leslie and Siobhan Miller recently won the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award - so, do they deserve it and merit our attention? I was lucky enough to see them this weekend at Fairport's Cropredy Convention, and the answer to this question is a definite "yes". Musically, they're a fine mix of the modern and traditional, with some beautifully pure voices. I was hesitant as to whether this album would deliver what I'd seen live, but I'm more than pleased to be able to report that it's well-produced and highly enjoyable. So, welcome to the scene and let's hear some more soon! |
