 Rating: - A brilliant mistakeBeing a bit thick I thought this was by Donovan , singer songwriter of the early sixties .Finding out it wasn't I gave it a go anyway , and I'm so glad I did . He has a wonderful smokey voice , and the songs have echoes of McGuinnes Flint (if you're old enough to remember them), Steely Dan , Randy Newman .They also have a feeling of the first CD off the Eagles - Long Road Out of Eden . I won't go into depth over the tracks but paricular favourites are - Life,Love and Laughter lovely upbeat song , Can' go on Without You -wonderful love song.Your Heart , Hit the Ground Running . In fact all the songs are brilliant and I can't fault them .Its been on replay on my CD player since I got it . |
