Intoxicated Man: Songs of Serge Gainsbourg Sung in English By Mick Harvey &Anita Laneby: Mick Harvey Release Date October 04, 1995 This is an interesting blend of the bizarre and beautiful hits of Serge Gainsbourg from the late 60's/70's translated into English for those of us who do not understand the French version I presume! Well worth a listen, especially if your music tastes are normally bland and uninspired. But if you're already turned on by quirky easy listening ballads then this may be a little mild for you. Favourite tracks include: Ford Mustang, Barrel of my 45, harley Davidson. I still prefer the originals but anything that invites people to check out Serge Gainsbourg is cool in my opinion! |
