Alas, this was advice Queen chose not to heed... which suggests to me that the sad demise of Freddie Mercury may have saved them from further decline. Yes, sacrilege I know but maybe a touch of truth? You decide... It's not that this collection is abysmal. Worse than that, it's just ordinary, the sort of compilation you damn with faint praise. In the hands of an ordinary combo it would probably be quite acceptable MoR pop/rock, but from Queen it's an inevitable decline from the dizzy heights their finest music.
