Return To Me (2000)starring: David Duchovny, Minnie Driver, Carroll O'Connor, Robert Loggia, Bonnie Hunt directed by: Bonnie Hunt Release Date January 29, 2001 From an absurd plot - Chicago architect David Duchovny falls in love with the woman who (unknown to him) has received the transplanted heart of his dead wife - first time director Bonnie Hunt (she has a good role in the movie, too) crafts a very fine romantic comedy. Minnie Driver, as the virginal and much younger Grace (this is a very catholic movie) has never been better as the object of Duchovny's chaste affection. The movie main suspense is about how Duchovny will react when he learns about Grace' history - and what will happen to their relationship. The movie is also a paean to a working class ethnic America that is disappearing fast, product of assimilation. |
