. Shamanby: Santana Release Date October 20, 2002 Shaman is the follow-up to the hugely successful "Supernatural". Like its predecessor, each song on the album has a different guest appearing with the band. This is a similar formula to the Jools Holland "Friends" series albums and is obviously very popular although, for me, is not ideal. This is because the album as a whole loses some of its coherency as a result of all of the different artists appearing and I prefer a more unified feel on albums. Nothing wrong with the music mind - there's some fine songs on here - and they'll sound great when they appear on your mp3 player's random shuffle, but the album loses one star through this lack of a consistent feel. |
