Collectible : The Essential Shalamar
. The Essential Shalamarby: Shalamar Release Date June 02, 2003 Good quality compilation, at a very good price too. The earlier hits come in their 12 inch form, and the later hits are the original album versions. The sleeve notes describe 'Dead Giveaway' as cheese, which seems a trifle unfair to me, as it was one of their biggest hits and not often featured on compilations. Their is one major flaw with the CD and it loses a star (possibly 2), as 'There It Is' which I always remember fondly from the early 80s is missing. There's room on the CD so why not include it? So overall a very good compilation, but missing one of their best tracks. |
