Durbridge's style of fiction writing is very much from the Agatha Christie and Dorothy L. Sayers sta-
ble. Therefore you know exactly what to expect. Well spoken upper class/ upper middle class central
characters, intricate plots, red herrings galore and a mounting body count. I have grown to love the
genre, but I admit I was only introduced to Paul Temple very recently by a friend
