. Nine Deadly Venomsby: Depth Charge Release Date October 01, 1994 Well, looking at the other reviews of Nine Deadly Venoms here, it seems this album is universally lauded. However, as with many reviews on Amazon, the only people who bother to write them either love or hate the music. So many average albums seem to receive 4 or 5 stars. Personally, I find this album... ok. The old movie samples are cool, but really there's nothing else here. The beats are bland, especially when compared to more recent releases on Ninja Tune, Grand Central, Tru Thoughts etc. The instrumentation is generally rather weak and charmless, the best meoldies being the ones derived from samples.
