It covers jazz from 1920 onwards, and although there isn't much on the CD's from 1975 onwards, thids is not why it was produced. This focuses on the classics: Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Miles Davis, John Coltrane et al all figure heavily. Also, this is one of the few times a Jazz compilation is cross-label, meaning you get all the classics in one go. In conclusion, if you only ever buy one set of Jazz, this has to be it. |
