. 8701by: Usher Release Date July 09, 2001 ...The first single from this album 'Pop Ya Collar' was a world-wide hit - a brilliant up-beat feel good song - more pop than r'n'b though. But don't let the pop-factor throw you off. His new single 'U Remind Me' is brilliant, yet again. It's a mid-tempo track and is very catchy. It's got a nice r'n'b/soul flava to it, pop being ditched here, and is sure to storm the charts. It's about him not being able to date this new girl who he really likes because she reminds him of a better-best-forgotten girlfriend from the past. Anyway it's brilliant! So if his previous hit-singles are anything to go by, this new album '8701' should be excellent! As Usher himself put it, he IS the king of HIP-POP, his own new style of music! |
