when i first got this album, the only song i had ever heard by FFAF was escape artists never die. This was enough to tempt me to get the album and i havent regreted it at all! this is music at its best. there are shouting bits but these are balanced out nicely with catchy lyrics for those who like to sing along. Best tracks on the album - novella, escape artist never die, she drove me to daytime tv...actually, all of them in their own way! any emo fan should have this album. its fantastic. and they are also amazing live! if your a fan of lost prophets you will probably like this album. welsh bands rule!

Anyone who is thinking of buying this album should not think twice there is no need.........because its one of the best albums around, its an example of what modern music should be. Matt Davis's vocals are some of the best around, and the bit of 'screaming' that is heard just adds to the album.

The first i heard of FFAF was hearing 'She drove me to daytime television' on the radio. I thought it was such a great song that the next day i bought 'casually dressed and deep in conversation' just because of it.
CDADIC is an amazing album, from 'Bullet theory' which is nearly all screaming to 'Your revolution is a joke' which is soft and accoustic. There is not one song which drags this album down, my personal favourite is 'Red is the new black'.
To fully appreciate FFAF you HAVE to own this CD.

I bought 'Casually Dressed...' after hearing Juneau on the TV, not expecting anything amazing but an album that was entertaining to fill up my minidisc a bit. When i listened to it through the whole time i was blown away. As a fan of heavy music from bands such as Slayer and Pantera and also softer bands like Staind and Incubus, FFAF's album was absolutely PERFECT for me. It combines very musical and melodic songs such as 'Bend your arms to look like wings' with heavierish songs such as 'Rookie of the Year' i loved it.
On the technical side most of the songs are composed of a backing guitar with another one riffing over the top to create a deep, musical feel to most of the songs. This coupled with amazingly heart wrenching lyrics, for example the slow part of 'Escape Artists Never Die' where he repeats "Please someone help me, I'm dying here in front of you". The only song that drags the album back slightly is 'Your Revolution is a Joke' as it is a very soft, acoustic song and seems out of place in the midst of the rest of the songs. That's just my opinion though some people may disagree.
This is a fantastic album if your into emo, with my personal favorites being 'Rookie of the Year', 'Bend Yours Arms to Look Like Wings', 'Moments Forever Faded'. I've still got the whole album on my minidisc and it will stay there for a while yet! Highly reccomended!

i bought this album the day it was released and had anticipated that day for 6 months. I had bought both 'Between order and model' and 'Four ways to scream your name' and thought they were both excellent in musical composition and their heartfelt lyrics. Personally I thought the juxtoposition of Ryan Richards'(drummer) raging outbursts of screams and Matt Davies' wonderful soothing voice was what attracted me so much to this band's sound.
i don't think there is a need to label FFAF a genre because its pathetic to see people just dump ludicrously named genres to make them 'fit' in music. Examples of this ignorance include Emo-core, emo, extremo-core, but anyways...
This album displays fantastic writing abilities and diversity in the drumming, bass lines, and guitars. There is a great sense of pain overcome with joy when listening to this especially in 'Juneau'. i cry everytime i listen to this song.
This is also a great record to put on when there are troubles ahead or getting over heartbreaks. My only complaint is that they took 4 tracks (Juneau, Escape artists never die, Red is the new Black, She drove me to daytime television) from their previous EPs and put it into this record, which left me feeling ever so slightly cheated.
i think FFAF are one of the best british bands of the moment and another reason why they're great is because they put on the best performances. i've seen them 8 times now and seeing them again in May, the stage-crowd interaction is amazing and hearing them just makes me love their music more and more each time i see them. it never leaves me bored.
fantastic live, fantastic music, fantastic band.....what more can i say? I SAY GO BUY THIS ALBUM.....YES, YOU!
