This 3CD set is great. If you loved the films then why not have the cds to listen to when in the car, busy doing housework or even while revising. Theres not many words in any of the songs and so it is perfect for background music if concentration is needed elsewhere. It will always bring back memories of the films without needing to even watch them. Well-worth the price!

What an amazing soundtrack!!! The music is wonderfully composed and performed. It is full of emotion and drama, just like the movies.

These are the best CDs I've got! I love The Lord of the Rings, and this is perfect! Every LOTR fan should get their hands on one of these, sharpish! Contains all the songs; three CDs named after one of the films. I listen to them all the time!

I have not yet bought this truly amazing album but i will very soon. Although i dont have it i have the complete trilogy dvd boxset and the soundtracks on that are brilliant. Top notch album reccommended to any LOTR fan.

Three CD's encompassing the majority of the music involved in all three of Peter Jackson's masterpieces . The music is as involving when listened to separately from the viewing experience , and key scenes easily stand out as images in the mind upon playing the various tracks .
The box set also includes individual thin postcards of various characters from the films , and , whilst nice , only serve to annoy by falling out of the box all the time when you take a CD out !
I would still recommend this as a bargain for those who do not have any of the CD's yet .
