- Forget the manufactured pap - buy this Xmas single!!
Brilliant! Fabulous! The only Xmas single that isn't manufactured pap and tells it as it is. And it's the only one I've seen that's "for charidee" - all proceeds going to kiddies medical charities, not to some fat-cat's wallet.
Track 1 "Ere's your Xmas" has a host of punk musicians led by Captain Sensible, taking the p**s out of all the manufactured pop bands around these days, the commercialisation of Christmas, people's apathy in the face of of modern life and their mindness following of whatever trends they are told to by the suits in the companies, whilst ignoring the terrible things happening in the world outside.
Track 2 "Xmas Bloody Xmas" by TV Smith and Tim Cross is a rather mournful view of the depressing time that this season really is these days.
Tack 3 is an excellent reworking of The Damned's "There ain't no Sanity Clause" taking a swipe at the UK-US "special relationship" and politics.
A must-buy single for this Xmas, if only to get it high up into the charts as a real alternative to the dross that will be there.

Featuring Captain Sensible, TV Smith, Martin Newell, Charlie Harper, Mark P, Rik Waller, Carla Winters, The Electric Prunes, Chris Bashford, Tim Cross and Tim Vs.
Track 1 "Ere's your Xmas" takes the piss out of all the manufactured crap in the charts these days (speshly at this time of year) and of people asking "whatever happened to the spirit of christmas?" then blithely going along with all the commercial bull we suffer from nowadays. It also takes a swing at people who are more concerned about current trends, who's in and who's out, rather than the suffering going on around the world.
Track 2 "Xmas Bloody Xmas" is a bah-humbug song in keeping with this commercialised season.
Track 3 is a fabulous re-working by the Cap'n of the Damned's "There ain't no Sanity Clause" with a fantastic onslaught on the lies told by Bush and Blair to justify their illegal invasion of Iraq (I'm happy that they've toppled Saddam, just don't like the way they went about it).
Top single, go out an buy it, tell your firends, family, neighbours, teachers, worst-enemies-in-the-whole-wide-world to go out and buy it and let's try and get enough sales to send it to Number One.
Just do it - you know you want to!
