- A bit unusual, but good.
The album starts with 4 amazing tracks, laura, take your mama, comfortably numb and mary. But then the remaining songs are mostly average apart from 'filthy/gorgeous'. It is an enjoyable album and would buy it if you like Franz Ferdinand and The Thrills.

BRILLIANT! BRILLIANT! BRILLIANT!
11 great tracks (with lyrics) on CD + 3 bonus tracks for the UK market.
My absolute favourites: Laura, Take Your Mama, Comfortably Numb, Mary, Lovers in the Backseat, Filthy/Gorgeous, Music is the Victim and the ultra superb 12/10 Return to Oz.
Can't fault this album 10/10 - everyone a winner. I hope that Scissor Sisters go from strength to strength. A totally refreshing band with their own unique sound. Goodbye to all sound-alike boy bands and a big HELLO to the multi-talented Scissor Sisters.
Go out immediately and buy this album, you will NOT be disappointed.

Rating: - I just LOVE this band
I am a straight/hetero 36 year old female that LOVES this band. I saw these wonderful and GEORGOUS performers here in Indianapolis Indiana and honey......THEY WILL BE BIG here in the USA. I first saw them and heard about them on Saturday night live and they were playing here the very next week. I HAD to go see "what it's all about" and boy did I!!
I LOVED every part of this show! The entertainment factor is simply fantabulous and I hope to see them again soon! I encourage everyone to order/preorder their dvd that will be coming out here in the US in January! I have mine on order and cant wait!
Not only are they entertaining, the music, vocals are incredible! Jake Shears really has that Elton John'ish voice and exitement. His vocal range is also something that really impressed me to no end. Ana, Babydaddy and Jake are three of the most GEORGOUS people on earth and I LOVE YALL!!!

This album is really good becuase it caters for all tastes of music.
I enjoy listening to and so does my 55 year old parents.........

Absolutely Fantastic CD! - One needs to open your mind a little bit here. If you grew up as a teen in the 80's this CD will transform you into a free spirited person again. Music is supposed to evoke feeling and feeling is what you get from this CD. The hetero backlash of 80's bands that had gay overtones, (Pet Shop Boys, Frankie goes to Hollywood and the like), were that they threaten the Straight man. Speaking as a straight man one has to realize that nothing shows that you are cool with yourself by being able to accept music for what it is and not worry about how people judge you by liking a particular band.
As a die hard Pink Floyd fan their cover of Comfortably Numb will trip you out like it did when it came off of Dark Side of the Moon - Give this CD a spin and let yourself go back to the 80's without listening to songs that you may have tired from - like Filthy / Gorgeous - fantastic head bopping tune with a wicked wahwah pedal adding that extra edge! Still not sure - test yourself first - If you don't feel the urge to strut like John Travolta back in the day while listening to 'Staying Alive' then don't buy this CD and stay home and fear your neighbors.
