this is an album like nothing you will ever hear! its energetic, glamorous and wonderfully catchy. singles like laura, comfortably numb, Mary, Laura and Filthy/ Gorgeous power along and sit comfortably next to unreleased material like lover in the backseat and return to oz. If you dont already own this album then buy it right now and join the bizzarre world of the scissor sister. also if you get a chance to see them live like i did last year, take it for one of the best nights out you could have

5 star album that you never get sick of hearing!

This album is fantastic! All the songs are good and catchy. One of my favourite tracks is 'Return to Oz' which seems to be a quite sad song but with good lyrics.
I definetly recommend this album, especially if you like the Scissor Sisters chart songs.

When I first heard the first half of this album I thought.. wow.. when I heard the second half I thought.. erm.. did I miss something? It really is (Brian) an album of 2 halves and if you bought it on a vinyl LP you could easily carve your name into side 2, just play side one and not miss much. All the singles are packed into the superb 4 opening tracks, and of the remaining tracks only Filthy Gorgeous is worth a listen, the rest is frankly meandering nothingness - had you not noticed none of the non-singles is ever given airtime - must be a reason! Sorry but the truth hurts - its half an excellent album!

Quite simply, you MUST buy this album! It's like a rollercoaster ride for your ears. Starting with the bouncy "Laura" and "Take Your Mama" we then slow down in the middle before gathering speed again, slowing once more and finishing with a couple of bonus tracks on the UK edition. Someone far cleverer than I said of this CD ...."it is the Scissor Sisters first greatest hits album" and I could not agree more.
There is not a single bad track on the CD and it would not surprise me to see at least 6 tracks released as singles. My personal favourite is Return To Oz - a dark & moody track.
If you like any of the singles released so far then just buy the album. You will not be disappointed.
