I bought this album after "The Black Parade", and for anyone only just starting to realise the brilliance of MCR's music, I think that's the best way to go.It took me a while to get used to The Parade, but I then (roughly)knew what to expect from "Three cheers for sweet revenge".
Three cheers is definitely darker than the Parade, but after hearing their third album you'll be used to darkness and anger.The lyrics in most of the songs are very aggressive,but I guess that's what pulls you in. My favorite tracks are "Helena", "Give 'em hell, Kid", "To the end", "Jetset life is gonna kill you" "Thank you for the Venom" and "I'm not Okay (I promise)". "You know, you've got something in your eye..." If you've seen the video for "I'm not Okay (I promise)", you'll know what on earth I'm talking about. If you haven't , WATCH IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the first My Chemical Romance album I ever bought and I fell in love with them. Not only does it have an awesome cover design Gerard Way has such an infectious and catchy voice and the music and lyrics are incredible. Altogether the perfect recepie for an album.
The songs are all marvelous but the songs I recommend the most would be Helena (track 1), To The End (track 3), I'm Not Okay (I Promise) (track 5), The Ghost of You (track 6) and Thank You For The Venom (track 9). Most people label My Chemical Romance as being a whinny, miserable emo band but that's just not true just listen to Give 'em Hell Kid (track 2) and you'll see what I mean. An awesome album!!

This album was MCR second album follwing their mini success of their debut album "I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love" is amazing. Starting with the song "Helena" written about lead vocalist and bassist Gerard and Mickey Way' grandmother really sets a great first impression. And song titles such as "You know what they do to guys like us in prison" and "I never told you what I do for a living" really sets the cotrasts of each individual song. However My Chemical Romance shouldn't be mistaken for "emo" music. My chem's lyrics are from the heart, and help teenagers find themselves, and finally find someone that understands them
ESSENTIAL BUY FOR ALL PUNK/ROCK FANS!

This is just one of those poppy selling albums that sound more like a boyband and are designed for stupid teenage girls slightly deppressed. They rip off Green Day, Fallout Boy and Marilyn Manson. There is far better music out there to that idiot Spyro. I know for a fact that these are nothing special.
TO ALL EXTREME FANS ONE DAY YOU WILL WAKE UP AND REALISE JUST HOW PATHETIC THE MCRMY IS. Thats just a stupid way to give these posers what they want. Gerard dosen't know what deppression is and also to all big MCR fans. THIS BAND WILL NEVER GO DOWN AS ANYTHING SPECIAL. There just another sellout. As if thier music helps people.

i was randomnly bored nd listening to Mcr nd thought id review it--well for a start unlike some of the ppl on here i got into MCR on this album when it had only just came out and first thought oh its okay-- now i wood say im a lil more experienced in music and hav found how amazin the album is--
helena: this was my fav track at first- back in the day when i wasnt into the heavier stuff-- it still is an amazing song (with hard lyrics to work out by just listenin to it) truly mega trust me kinda epic but not in the grand way like their new album
give 'em hell kid: amazing song a real punky number shows by the length of it, yes really fast with a great chorus thingey--into the actual singing is relly good !
to the end: wasnt realli a song i listened to that much at first preferring the legendary you know wat they do to guys like us in prison but recently i hav realli found how amazin this track is especially near the end wen they all sing TOO THHHEEEEE EEEENNNDDDD wow its too good!
you know what they do to guys like us in prison: features bert off teh used and is the screamiest track so far (generally thanks to bert) but also very different to the other songs --more rock than straight punk and even a touch of *gasps* metal
im not okay: i liked this song the first few times i heard it and its amazing live but i hav to admit ive heard it to many times and it is by far the poppiest song on the album --do not place judgement on MCR because of this track they have so many more less poppy songs.
ghost of you: realli a truly epic song and realli amazing!!! soso so good -- its amazin wat gerard does with the vocals live --i hav to admit i listen to MCR's more heavy songs at the mom to make up for b4 but with the other songs ive done so far this used to be one of my favs -still is a an amazing song!!
the jetset life is gonna kill you: i thought the album ended at ghost of you, what was I THINKING!!!??? this along with hang 'em high and its not a fashion statement is my fav at the mom wiv amazing vocal delivery it truly hits into you
and i cant be bothered to write nymore so trust all the songs are amazing first half for softer second half for heavier!!! bUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
