Music : Mindcrime at the Moore: Operation Mindcrime Parts I & II Recorded Live in Their Entirety - 13-15 Oct 2006, Moore Theater, Seattle

- After listening to the DVD.......
Having recently acquired the accompanying DVD on import, I must say I am looking forward immensely to purchasing the CD set as well and am particularly interested in hearing the extended versions as referred to by the previous reviewer.
On the DVD, both OM I & II come across as raw, powerful yet melodic pieces with, consummate performances from all members of the band as you would expect. The live `energy' of the band ensures that OM II grabs you more so than on the studio album.
Having seen Pamela Moore on the 2004 tour when they played OM I complete, the development of her contributions certainly compliment Geoff's vocals throughout this production and enhance the overall sound. Mike Stone looks and sounds comfortable in his role and puts in a good all round performance. QR purists still undoubtedly pine for Chris DeGarmo's presence in the band and whilst I do certainly miss his song writing contributions, I realise times have changed and am certainly happy to revel in the`here and now'. The question now is, how much will we get to hear on the forthcoming UK Tour with Lizzy?

....please ignore the first reviewer. He can't actually comment as he hasnt even heard the album. While some may argue that this is just 'another OM album' (which it is), there is a bit of difference from the first time LiveCrime came out. Firstly we have OM2 on here as well, secondly we have Mike Stone in place of DeGarmo.
I have to say that I like the album a lot, the sound quality is much clearer than the first LiveCrime although it does seem to lack the polished edge of the first. There are also a number of longer/changed songs, presumably taking into account the 'acting' that is on the DVD. Definitely a recommended buy.
