- Trick Or Treat ?
Definitely a treat for most part but I'm not sure I like her collaboration with Timbaland and Justin , some of their songs are my least favorite including "4 minutes" which is catchy and nice untill the point it starts to repeat itself and annoy with all those horns.
"Devil Wouldn't Roconize You" is a typical Justin T ballad just with Madonna's voice , it's a good song but it doesn't fit Madonna very well in my opinion."Give it 2 me" is catchy but not a favorite ,I was disappointed to hear it's the second single. "Heartbeat" ,"Spanish Lesson" & "Voices" are o.k too but they sound like fillers to me though "Spanish Lesson" would probably be great for a live performance.
and now to the treats - My favorites are the the songs who have a little disco flavor in them like my most favorite "Beat Goes On" with Kanye West which is such a fun song "She's Not Me" and "Dance 2night" which is also with JT . Other favorites are : the teazing first track "Candy Shop", the ballad "Miles Away" which reminds me her "American Life" album and the catchy and different "Incredible". It's a fun album to listen while driving or working out and a nice follow up for "Confessions" , I can't wait for her next tour.

Timbaland works well with Nelly Furtado but really is guilty of sounding the same.
Madonna has really released this CD with no substance. You listen to it and you have heard it all before.
I have listened to it twice and really dont want to listen to it again just yet.
If Madonna wants to remain in the picture she needs to come up with something alot more original than this.

Before i start this review,i must say that iam a huge madonna fan and have been since 1984 almost when she first came out. I remeber buying that very first album on vinyl from our price..i still actually have it too! Anyway so i'd like to think im well qualified in all things madge.
Madonna albums have been hit n miss affairs over the last 10 yrs. Ray of light was a superb triumph but the "music" album was pretty ordinary and so was the follow up "american life"..a couple of ys back though "the confessions on a dance floor album" was released and was absoloutely amazing and saw madonna back in stunning form.
I heard madonna was going rnb again... which i was pleased coz i really liked the "bedtime stories album" but then i started to hear demo's and bits from the "hard candy" album and was not impressed..the warning signs were all there of a crash n burn......... SO IAM REALLY EALLY PLEASED TO SAY THAT THIS ALBUM IS OFF THE HOOK !!!!. Forget what you may have heard or read about this album..this is one of Madonna best albums in yrs and ransk alongside "confessions" and maybe even slighlty surpases it.
Timbaland produces 5 trackes and the neptunes 7 tracks. All are very very good though some take 2 or 3 listens to sink in. "As the beat goes on" was a track i heard yonks ago and couldnt stand but has been completely reworked from the version i heard and is much much improved. There isnt a bad track on this album and i always normally hate 2 or 3 tracks from all her albums but theres NOTHING BAD at all on here..a rarity thes edays.
Highlights are "Devil wouldnt recognise you" a timbo prod track and prob the best track..kinda reminded me of justins "cry me a river"..had that vibe to it. "Dance 2 night" is another excllent song and very very 80's sunding..almost a throwback to the pur pop of madge in her 80;s glory"..."shes not me" is also fab " a neptunes prod number and a great bassline and hook throughout " " Give it to me " the 2nd single is also good but there are better tracks i thought " Miles away" is another highlight too.
THIS IS A GREAT ALBUM..AND I WAS ITS BIGGEST SCEPTIC..AMAZING ALBUM.

This is the best album Madonna's released in years! Absolutely lovin her new sound. This album is THE album of the summer if not the year as far as I'm concerned. She has gone for some wicked dance beats that will be in all the clubs, and there's definitely sound influences from the 70's, 80's, 90's to the present day. She mixes old with new, which creates a whole new dimension to the music. (My favourite being the modern day hip hop with the 80's synths).
The only song I don't like is 'Incredible'. I'm not keen on the words or the overall sound of the song, and what are those rattle things, they make me cringe (they sound like rattle snakes).

I absolutely love this album,there are 11/12 outstanding tracks, love the grooves and the lyrics. Confessions on a dance floor was very good but this is better. She will be as hot as ever at the top of the charts worldwide with the single release potential on this album. A return to form for the superstar !
