An outstanding CD and recording of the score to the movie. The booklet contained inside is informative and detailed, discussing separately each of the tracks in relation to the film as well as some detailed insights into what the motifs in the music was intended by Herrmann to convey and how they are used to foreshadow events in the film. (particularly the mother's three note theme)

This was an impulse purchase for me but I'm so very glad I bought it.

40 tracks makes this about as comprehensive as it gets and a good investment, most however are quite short ranging from single motiffs to several minutes of actual score music. But I was listening to this last night, and the music brings back the movie so vividly ... Read More:
