. Oxygeneby: Jean-Michel Jarre Release Date April 02, 2007 I was 15 years old, utterly bored with pop music and disenchanted with the Stock, Aitken and Waterman 80's takeover. One day, I was at a friend's house and just happened to pass by his big brother's room. The door was ajar. Inside was dark. 'Sweet-smelling' smoke gently issued forth. And there was this sound, this wash of music. I had not heard anything like it before. I was immediately mesmerised, entranced, seduced, taken somewhere else by those incredible soundscapes (or was it the sweet-smelling smoke???) This is a work of art.
